Greetings, Columbia Community Church! Thank you for your support of church planting in Guatemala. Because of you, 200 children are receiving holistic care in an environment where they are known, loved and protected. Church construction is complete, and finishing touches are well underway. We praise God that the church is well-equipped to serve their community!

Finalizing Construction
Great progress has been made on the final steps of construction. Doors and windows have been added. Construction workers are currently prioritizing finishing the bathrooms, which includes building a wall and adding sinks. They will begin tiling the kitchen floor soon. The church rejoices that they have been able to welcome children and families into the church sanctuary, where construction is complete.
Challenges and Opportunities
During a time when resources are lacking, the church has learned to trust that God will provide.
Church Activities
Currently, 70 adults and 30 children regularly attend church services. The church rejoices that in the past 60 days, one person professed faith in Jesus.
The pastor and church staff meet regularly. They are providing child development activities at the church. Church leaders are thankful more people are attending church and giving regularly. The church looks forward to holding an opening ceremony at a later date.

“Before this intervention, the community didn’t have spacious church facilities or a child development center. God has been merciful in blessing us with this church. It is a dream come true! Many people that didn’t know God before or don’t know God now, can grow closer to him because we have a place where we can read the Bible together.”
