Greetings, Columbia Community Church! Thank you for your gift to plant a church in Guatemala. You are providing children in this community with a safe space to learn and grow. This report includes updates on construction, a testimony from a church member and praises and prayer requests. In the photo above, community members visit the church sanctuary to volunteer with construction.
Construction Progress
Great progress is being made on construction. A slanted roof has been added above the sanctuary, and the classroom walls are being plastered. Workers have also begun building the kitchen and two bathrooms.
Challenges and Opportunities
The construction team is working hard to clear large rocks from the construction site. These stones are making it difficult to progress as quickly as planned.
Next Steps
In the next 60 days, the church will:
- Plaster the walls in the sanctuary.
- Finish building the kitchen.
- Add flooring in all six classrooms.
Church Activities
The church community continues to help with church construction. Currently, there are 60 adults and 40 children who regularly attend Iglesia del Nazareno.
A Testimony From a Member of the Church
“I know that God is working through the church. The resources continue to come, thanks to the generosity of our brothers and sisters in Christ.”
Praises and Prayer Requests
The church community asks you to pray for the families affected by Hurricane Eta, for children in the community and for the church and its leaders.
