In October 2019, Pastor Scott Kegel, Pastors James and Lydia Ranger and Pastor Justin Frailey traveled to Bolivia with Compassion. In the above photo, the lead Pastor of Iglesia Bautista Misionera Kami, who will transition to leadership of the Iglesia Bautista Misionera Kenari Q’ullku (the church plant) shares his vision to reach the children of the community.
During this trip, the group visited the site of the church plant they have committed to fund. Together with the mother church pastor, they prayed over the land and agreed on 1 Corinthians 3, which states each person contributes, but it is God who brings the growth.
A Photo Journal From Our Trip to Bolivia
1 Corinthians 3:5-9
5 What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. 6 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. 7 So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 8 The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. 9 For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.
We are excited about all that God will do through this church plant in Cochabamba and look forward to our next visit!
