As the first steps are taken in the construction project at El Nazareno Church in Mompiche, Muisne, Ecuador, we are excited to share with you this initial field report from your church plant. We hope you are as excited as the Tres Vias community and we are to see the amazing work that will be done in Jesus’ name over the next several months. We apologize for the slight delay in getting this information to you.
Construction Progress
- We have been attending to the paperwork to acquire the legal deed of the plot.
- Because of this, we have not officially announced the details of the construction project to the community.
Church Activities
- Currently, eight adults and three children attend the church.
- In the last 60 days, two people made first-time professions of faith in Christ.
- For now, we have meetings with children once a week, and they feel motivated to continue learning about God.
- We also have a weekly gathering with parents in an open space to teach about God’s word.
Challenges and Opportunities
There are many families who don’t know God, and our opportunity is to help them meet and accept Jesus into their hearts and extend the Lord’s kingdom. We want to see our community’s children grow in knowledge of God’s word and become role models for the Tres Vias community.
Next Steps
We have bought the plot for the church and have just begun clearing the land to begin the construction process.
Testimony of Impact
The children and their families are happy and filled with anticipation because they know a church will be built with space for activities and learning. They are excited to hear news about the building project moving forward. Right now, we are hosting activities in a public recreation court.
Praises and Prayer Requests
We are grateful for the prayers that you offer to benefit our children. We thank you for the opportunity you gave to the church so we can reach more homes and share God’s word.
We ask you to continue praying:
- for the children and their families.
- for the brethren that work for the ministry.
- for the progress of the construction work.
