Stonebridge Christian Church, thank you for your gift to plant a new church in Nicaragua. We’re pleased to bring you an update from the construction team. Currently, 100 adults and 150 children attend church activities.

Construction Progress and Next Steps
Workers have made significant progress on the new facilities. The multipurpose room, kitchen, bathrooms and classrooms are all structurally complete. Next steps include installing privacy doors in the bathrooms, plumbing for the kitchen and bathrooms, and electrical wiring. Final tasks will include pouring concrete for sidewalks, adding finishing touches and establishing a date for the inauguration ceremony.
Pastor Adela of the mother church and Pastor Dominga from the daughter church have focused on mobilizing local resources and have organized volunteer crews to support the construction process. Thanks to these efforts, the church constructed the sanitary facilities on their own.
The team continues to fight interruptions in construction due to heavy rainstorms and flooding. Additionally, the cost of building materials continues to rise, making it challenging to work within the project budget.
Photos of construction progress are featured below.
A Testimony From Ana, the Center Director
The church is no longer just a drawing on a piece of paper; we have seen it come to life and we admire its beauty. I have to admit that the construction process has required my full attention and, as director, I have to be attentive to every movement and must maintain direct communication with the pastors, the builder and the Compassion specialist.
Our children are happy and ask every day about the inauguration of the new facilities; they are excited and have many ideas for decorating their classrooms. I thank you for your support and generosity. We pray for you, for your health, for your families and for your future plans. God is good, and we can’t wait to share about the inauguration party!
Praises and Prayer Requests
Join the church in praying for:
- Church members who are afflicted with pain or sickness. We trust in God’s promise that says, “The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all” (Psalm 34:19, NIV).
- The church’s children’s ministry, the pastors and the entire Mi Fortaleza leadership team; “The Lord will vindicate me; your love, Lord, endures forever — do not abandon the works of your hands” (Psalm 138:8, NIV).
- The inauguration of the new facilities and God’s blessing over the facilities; “For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building” (1 Corinthians 3:9, NIV).
A Beacon of Hope
Stonebridge Christian Church, because of your generosity, the new facilities are giving hope to the families in this community. Mi Fortaleza maintains a firm commitment to share God’s message of love and salvation with the people in their midst. The new facilities are on high ground and will be a refuge and shelter for all those in need. May God abundantly bless you!
