Stonebridge Christian Church, the team at Mi Fortaleza in Rivas, Nicaragua continues to make construction progress and bring hope to a community in desperate need.
Currently, 90 adults and 150 children are attending the church. Staff share that three people recently received Jesus as their Savior and four people are in a discipleship class.

Construction Progress and Next Steps
The preliminary construction, foundations and masonry stages are completed in the church, classrooms and kitchen. Workers have advanced to work on the concrete structures and floors. Construction on the sanitary battery is ongoing.
Workers plan to begin the following stages:
- Metal structures: placing metal beams and fasteners for the roof covering.
- Roofing: placing aluminized structural sheet metal in the buildings and reflective thermal insulation in the kitchen and classrooms.
- Metal work: manufacture and assembly of fences and metal gate.
Challenges
The construction site has temporary electric power due to the lack of medium and low voltage lines in the community. The church is working to have electricity installed. The intense rainy season in August led to the interruption of construction to protect workers and the construction materials.

Praises and Prayer Requests
Your investment is bearing fruit as the church grows and lives are being changed through the gospel. Juana is the mother of a Compassion participant, and very thankful for the new church:
“I am happy because my daughter is part of the Compassion program. The church is aiding her spiritual growth as well as helping all of the children and families in the community. Because of the church’s preaching, my family and I are serving God. The construction of the new facility will give hope and security to all. God is with us and I hope to be an exemplary mother to my child.”
Leaders from Mi Fortaleza send their gratitude for your financial support and your prayers. They are praying for you and ask you to join them in prayer for the following requests:
- Pray for the well-being of the Compassion participants, especially for those who are sick.
- Pray for the parents and families of the community.
- Ask God to guide the church during the construction project.
