Preston Trail Community Church, thank you for your generous gift to plant a new church in Nicaragua. Construction is complete at Iglesia Roca Fuerte, and the church is eagerly using their new space for church services and holistic child development activities. Forty percent of the participants’ families attend church services on Sundays, and 150 children have a safe and nurturing environment, where they can learn, grow and experience God’s love.

Construction Progress
Iglesia Roca Fuerte is in a rural community where many families live in extreme poverty. Pastor Allan of the mother church and Pastor Rodolfo of the church plant worked closely with their leadership teams throughout the construction. Despite some challenges and unavoidable delays in construction, the church is functioning well and is a beacon of hope in this community.
The finished construction includes a sanctuary that serves as a multipurpose room, three classrooms, a kitchen and bathrooms for boys and girls. The church is now equipped for Compassion’s program helping 150 children.

Jane, who directs the child development center at Iglesia Roca Fuerte, says,
I am impressed by what we are seeing in the community. Our children are learning God’s Word and putting it into practice. Iglesia Roca Fuerte has a great love for families and I feel blessed to serve as a part of the leadership team for this ministry. Together, we believe that every child deserves to be known, loved and protected. Thank you for your support!
The church continues to teach children and their families about the life of Jesus and God’s promises from the Bible. Participants are forming lasting friendships with one another, enhancing their social-emotional development. With the new facilities, they can foster these friendships in a safe and comfortable space.
Eden, a participant at the center says,
Before this church was built, we did not have a safe place to meet. Many days we met uncomfortably in the heat, rain or strong winds. Now, I love meeting with my friends at the church, where we feel safe. We have a big yard to run and play in and nice facilities where we can practice good hygiene.
I have learned to love and care for my family, and that God keeps his promises. I want to grow up sharing God’s love with others. Thank you so much for helping us plant the church we see today. I hope God continues to use you to bless other children like you’ve blessed us.
