Preston Trails Community Church, thank you for your investment to plant a new congregation in Nicaragua. Construction is nearly complete at Iglesia Roca Fuerte and the church is full of joy.
The church recently held a special service, and several parents chose to dedicate their children to God. 40 adults and 60 children regularly participate in church services. The completed sanctuary is shown in the photo above.
Construction Progress and Next Steps
The team has completed 95% of the construction throughout the facility. Electricity and plumbing have been installed. The sanctuary is fully functional and in use for church services. An altar was placed.
The classrooms are fully operational and provide an ideal learning environment for children. Workers installed foam thermal insulation and it is very effective at maintaining comfortable temperatures. The restrooms are also completed.
Workers have a few remaining tasks to complete construction:
- Applying anticorrosive paint to the gates of the church.
- Placing doors, applying varnish and installing anti-skid ceramic in the sanitary battery.
- Laying tile and placing pantry doors in the kitchen.
The pastors of the mother and daughter churches are collaborating and plan to install perimeter fencing.

- Staff from Compassion Nicaragua made a visit to inspect the construction.
Challenges
The team needed a large quantity of filling material to finish the sanctuary and the sidewalks. Pastor Allan (mother church) and Pastor Rodolfo (daughter church) worked together and mobilized resources to purchase the filling material.
Impact of Your Gift
Pastor Rodolfo leads the new church. He recounts: “I can’t find words to describe the miracle that has happened in the community. We are committed to children’s ministry, the tutors lovingly prepare their lessons, the leadership team does excellent administrative work, and the congregation is growing every week. We will be very proud when you see the results.”

Praises and Prayer Requests
The community is amazed at the achievement. Parents contributed tools and labor and their efforts were instrumental in completing the construction. Staff from the church and child development center are always welcomed by parents when they make home visits and share the gospel.

- Pray for the church to be united, strong and filled with the Holy Spirit
- Pray for the pastors. May God bless and strengthen the pastoral family.
- Pray for our children. May each child be loved, respected and cared for.
