Impact of the Intervention
The church is located in a prominent area along a well-traveled dirt road. Many people pass the church as they travel through town. When children, families and community members see the construction, they are grateful and excited about the progress being made.
Many local families live in homes with dirt floors and damaged roofs without access to drinking water or electricity. The church will provide them with a safe and comfortable space where they can go to receive care. Church staff support the physical, emotional, social and spiritual well-being of 150 participants.
A Response From Carlos, a Church Leader
“This intervention allows us to enter the community to share the gospel with more people. The church will be a place of refuge for all, guaranteeing protection of the most vulnerable. The church loves children and is committed to teaching them scripture. Church staff make sure every child knows they are valuable and can develop his or her unique gifts and talents.“
