Thank you, Preston Trail Community Church! Your gift to plant Iglesia del Nazareno in western Nicaragua is an example of God’s love and goodness to children and their families in this community. The church was very encouraged by Pastor Jim Johnson’s visit and they thank you for blessing their community. They share that their desire to help children continues to grow because of you. Children and families have been amazed by your generosity.

Construction Progress
Drinking water and electricity is now available. Great progress is being made on excavation for a septic tank. A ramp to transport construction materials to areas under construction is being built.

Challenges and Next Steps
It has been challenging for the church to secure a building permit. In the next 60 days, the church hopes to secure a building permit and will be hiring construction workers.
Church Activities
Currently, 30 children and 53 adults regularly attend church services. This church will be located on land with an area of about one acre. Community members have volunteered with clearing the property and leveling the land where construction will take place. Church members are also engaging in fundraising activities to raise local resources to cover the cost of the ramp and septic tank.
