New Thing, we are pleased to bring you the latest update from your church plant in Honduras. Currently, six adults and 15 children attend the church. Thanks to your generous support, the church has nearly completed construction. Construction activity was paused due to the pandemic and the church hopes to soon resume construction.
Recent Progress and Church Activities
The church has cautiously hosted some group activities following strict protocols with masks and social distancing. The church has been actively praying for the community prayer and also giving food to the families.
Challenges and Next Steps
The church isn’t protected by a fence and a building was vandalized. Church members are staying strong in faith. They continue ministering to the community and hope to build a fence to protect the buildings.
Testimony From a Church Member
“I have been really happy with how God has helped us overcome these difficult times. He has provided support so that many people with low incomes could be benefitted. This has made our faith stronger and God proves this way that He will never leave us alone.”
Praise and Prayer Requests
Church staff praise God for construction of the project, and the blessing of teaching children God’s ways. They are bringing families together and seeing them turn to God in faith. The church wants to see many generations saved.
The church asks for prayer that the municipal authorities would help them secure the buildings and that they raise local resources to build a fence around the property. They also ask you to pray for the health of each of the children and their families during this pandemic. Staff express their gratitude for your faithful support and prayers for their church members and the community.
