Thank you, Mission Hills! The construction team that’s building new facilities for Centro Cristiano in Cúcuta, Colombia, is making great strides. At the time of this report, 25 adults and 130 children attend the church, and five people have put their faith in Jesus! Your gift is making this possible.

Construction Progress and Next Steps
Since our last update, the construction team has cast and waterproofed the cement footings and columns for the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms. They have also started building the retaining walls. Over the next 60 days, workers plan to deliver and install plumbing, complete the retaining walls and begin brickwork on the building’s walls. Photos of the progress are below.

Ministry Progress
The church leadership is grateful for opportunities to minister to children in their midst. At the end of 2023, they held an end-of-year celebration for about 90 children, who enjoyed worship, prayer and God’s Word. They also had a delicious snack and received shoes and clothing.
Martha, a Sunday school teacher at Centro Cristiano, shares:
I have been serving children in this church for the last nine years. Amid so much need — spiritual poverty, overcrowding, family conflict and child abandonment — God has heard our cries and has looked on us with great mercy, love and compassion. This new child development center is an answer to many prayers, and we are thankful to you sponsors for being a part of God’s church.
The church has experienced tremendous growth. Because of this, the leadership is building up and training new teachers to serve the increasing number of children who are now attending church services. As a result of this training, a special task force has been formed to advocate for children who are in difficult or dangerous home situations.
