Mission Hills Church, thank you for your gift to plant a new church in a remote area of Tanzania. The team at the new church, Kanisa la Biblia, is making construction progress and sharing the gospel throughout the community.
Staff are pleased that 19 adults and 27 children are attending the church and one person was recently baptized.

Construction Progress
In November 2022, plastering work began in the church and the classrooms. In December 2022, construction began on the restrooms.
Seven classrooms are now complete and ready to use. The kitchen and restrooms are being plastered. Workers are at the skimming stage on the church building.
The rising cost of construction materials has been a challenge for the team. In response, the church has engaged in fundraising activities to garner local resources.
Next Steps
Over the next 60 days, workers expect to finish the church building. After tiling the restrooms and adding doors, the bathrooms should be completed.

Recent Church Activities
Over the past 60 days, the pastor and church team participated in house-to-house evangelism. Church members generously help with construction tasks and in getting classrooms ready for the children.
Shaari is a local villager who shared the positive impact of the new church. He said:
“The church has brought many good things to our community. Villagers were employed during the construction project and the new borehole allows villagers to fetch water free of charge.
The church has built a very good strong bond with the villagers and the Compassion center is very beneficial to our children.”
