Menlo Church, we are pleased to bring you new photos and information about your church plant, Evangelical Church of Pilgrims of Perú – San Martin de Alao, in San Martin, Peru. Most of the progress has been in the construction phase, with the work of growing the church body to follow as the building becomes functional. Thank you for your support through prayer and giving. Construction Progress
At the end of June, bricklaying and pouring of concrete columns reached 95% completion.
In July, the rest of the concrete work reached 90% completion, the roofs of the four rooms were placed; the restroom floor was filled; and one of the rooms’ walls was covered with plaster.
Church Activities
As was the case in the previous report, 62 adults and 26 children attend the mother church regularly, and nine adults and seven children regularly attend the daughter church.
During construction, the mother church continues to host:
- Worship time
- Parent meetings
- Prayer time
- Construction coordination
Challenges Encountered
Construction work continues to experience delays due to amount of heavy and regular rains.
Next Steps
We will work to bring the bricklaying, concrete work and plastering to 100% completion.
