San Martin Church Plant Update – September 2019

September 19, 2019

Menlo Church, we are pleased to bring you new photos and information about your church plant, Evangelical Church of Pilgrims of Perú – San Martin de Alao, in San Martin, Peru. Most of the progress has been in the construction phase, with the work of growing the church body to follow as the building becomes functional. Thank you for your support through prayer and giving. May God bless you.

Construction Progress

At the end of June, bricklaying and pouring of concrete columns reached 95% completion.

In July, the rest of the concrete work reached 90% completion, the roofs of the four rooms were placed; the restroom floor was filled; and one of the rooms’ walls was covered with plaster.

Church Activities

As was the case in the previous report, 62 adults and 26 children attend the mother church regularly, and nine adults and seven children regularly attend the daughter church.

During construction, the mother church continues to host:

  • Worship time
  • Parent meetings
  • Prayer time
  • Construction coordination
    Children from the community

Challenges Encountered

Construction work continues to experience delays due to amount of heavy and regular rains.

Next Steps

We will work to bring the bricklaying, concrete work and plastering to 100% completion.

Testimony of Impact

I greet you in the fraternal love of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are deeply thankful and at the same time, we are very blessed by the Lord through your hearts which are open to serving and helping others.

You are making a reality our goal to build classrooms and a multipurpose room in the district of San Martin Alao so we can reach the community with the gospel of Jesus Christ and share His message of eternal life.

I thank you for everything, and we will continue praying for Lord’s blessings to your lives.

Praises and Prayer Requests

We give thanks to the Lord for your generous spirit. Through your giving, the kingdom of God will be enlarged in our community.

We thank you for your donations, because we are going to have good environments built and suitable facilities for children and for our church.

We ask you to pray for:

  • Children in the program and their parents
  • The community as a whole, that the Lord will allow us to serve it well and help people receive Jesus as their savior.
  • Our continued strength in body and spirit
