By partnering with us to plant a new church in the Dominican Republic, you are helping a local church develop a sustained gospel presence in the community. Having a safe new building to meet in gives the church room to grow and the capacity to offer Compassion’s holistic child development program.

With every new church planted with Compassion in developing communities, our local staff work closely with an existing (or “mother”) church partner. Using a mentoring relationship, the church plant grows strong with help from the mother church. We encourage local resource mobilization and local ownership from the beginning. We aim for this in the initial construction of the church plant infrastructure and in the program implementation of the child development center.
Your partnership with Compassion contributes to the planting of churches that will thrive and multiply their impact. Like any relationship, laying a foundation for win-win partnerships takes time.
