Thank you, First Baptist Church of Frisco, for partnering with Compassion International to expand the reach of the gospel and bring the hope of Jesus to children and families living in extreme poverty in Ecuador. By partnering with us to plant a new church, Iglesia Iberoamericana “El Edén,” in the Los Ríos region of Ecuador, you are being a catalyst. You are helping a local church create a permanent presence of their ministry through constructing a new church building and giving them capacity to offer Compassion’s holistic child development program.
Compassion International highly values our partnerships — both with funding partners like you, and our implementing partners in the countries where we work. We strive to live out our Partnership Principles in how we partner with you and each new local church established in a child’s community.
Compassion’s Partnership Principles
- Each partnership is founded on our identity in Christ
- Seek mutually beneficial and respectful relationships
- Accept mutual responsibility and commitment
- Produce visible transformation and outcomes
With every new church planted with Compassion in developing countries, our local staff members work closely with an existing (or “mother”) church partner, to pursue a developmental approach that will help the new, or “daughter,” church grow strong quickly through being mentored. We encourage local resource mobilization and local ownership from the start. We aim for this not only in the initial construction of the church plant infrastructure you have helped fund, but also in the ongoing program implementation of the child development center.
Like any relationship, laying a foundation for win-win partnerships takes time. We appreciate your understanding as our staff and local church partner work hard in the coming weeks and months to make next steps a reality. We commit to update you along the way as the construction process evolves towards its launch and simultaneous opening of its child development center.
Because of you, the Body of Christ in Ecuador is now mobilized to expand the Kingdom and help more children be known, loved, protected, and discipled towards opportunities of a hopeful future. Thank you again for investing in this opportunity where we anticipate God’s Church impacting the lives of children in extreme poverty and releasing them from poverty in Jesus’ name.
