Greetings! First Baptist Church Tulsa, we’re excited to share this final report on your gift to launch a new child development center in the Philippines. As of April 2024, Lemblisong Southern Baptist Church is serving 100 children in its community, with only 33 still waiting to be paired with a sponsor. Thank you for equipping this church to care for the participants and their families.

Greetings!
On behalf of our entire church, our five denominational church partners and the child development center, I extend our warmest gratitude to you, our supporters, and Compassion Philippines for supporting the 100 children at this center.
After five months of continuous programming, we started conducting home visits to the Compassion participants and their families. We also delivered Christmas gifts and nutritious groceries and celebrated family day during these visits. The program activities are strengthening bonds between the staff members, tutors, volunteers, caregivers and participants.
Children and parents are very receptive to the program’s efforts, and many participants now attend Sunday church services with their families. We are so grateful and inspired by their eagerness to be a part of our fellowship!

A Loving Environment for Children to Thrive
The Compassion center provides unique opportunities for children that would otherwise be out of their reach. Research shows that children and youth who participate in sponsorship programs, like this one at Lemblisong, are at least 40% more likely to complete higher levels of education, 18% more likely to have salaried employment as adults, and up to 75% more likely to become community leaders. Thanks to you, these outcomes are attainable for the 100 students at this center. Pictured below are recent activities that took place.
