Thank you, First Baptist Church Tulsa! Your support of the child development center based at Moravian Church in Tanzania makes it possible for children to reach their full potential. Currently, 150 Compassion participants are receiving holistic care from staff who care deeply for their physical, emotional and spiritual well-being because of you. Your support is truly transformative!
Since our last update, we are pleased to report program activities have begun and are going well, the center has conducted medical and educational assessments for each child, and 88 of the children in the program have been sponsored so far.

Dear Friends,
Greetings from Tanzania. I hope you and your families are all in good health.
On behalf of the church, I express my sincere gratitude for your humble and generous heart for supporting the launch of our child development center. We have registered 150 children. Your funds were used to renovate and complete two classrooms, a pit latrine, and an office for program workers and to purchase materials to support program activities.
The church mobilized local resources to join your effort to improve the classrooms and latrines. We also established a children’s ministry committee, appointed child and youth tutors and employed two child development workers to implement the program.
With great joy, the children now attend their program sessions in the new classrooms, where they can learn in comfort, which has motivated them to attend. Also, the presence of good pit latrines has strengthened the assurance of good health for children during program hours.
Additionally, the staff now works in a good environment. There is still some work to do, like purchasing office furniture, that the church will implement.
I believe that the interventions that take place at our center will greatly impact registered children. We hope that our center will positively impact all children in the community.
