Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
We are happy to count you among our committed partners who work alongside us to share the love of Jesus Christ with the Haitian communities through the church planting strategy.
I am Guilbaud Saint-Cyr, the Haiti Country Director. I have been fulfilling this role since 2002. I have been blessed to witness first-hand through the work of our devoted church partners what difference it makes to serve the precious children of Haiti.
Sharing the love of Jesus through our holistic child development programs has been a blessing to thousands of children in Haiti since the start of Compassion ministry in Haiti in 1968.
As you may know, hurt, shortcomings, hatred, abuse and injustice are the burdens that the poor people must bear every day. Responding to God’s call has compelled us, His disciples, to love and care, protect and educate. Through this endeavor we will have a powerful weapon to fight against the darkness that covers our communities and bring hope to the hopeless.
My dream is to see the children of Haiti thrive, educated, loved, protected, and more importantly, know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It is not only the children that this strategy will reach; it will also touch the lives of their parents, caregivers, relatives and at last bring about a divine transformation of their communities as the light of Jesus will shine in the lives of the recipients of His blessings through this ministry.
Just imagine a community where Jesus is recognized and served as Lord, where justice and peace reign, where the cycle of poverty is broken for a new generation of God’s children to arise to proclaim the Good News of His Gospel to all nations. This is what we aim for. This is our daily prayer.
It is my prayer that the Lord will strengthen you and bless you for your strong will to be an advocate for this noble cause.
