The building that will house your church plant, Emmanuel Church Turbito in Turbot, Montero, Santa Cruz, Bolivia, is taking shape, and the community is taking notice, as this second report from the field suggests.
Construction Progress
In the last 60 days, the following steps in the construction process were accomplished:
- 100 percent of the concrete foundation was completed.
- Roughly one-third of the ground-floor walls were plastered.
Church Activities
Currently, 25 adults and 72 children attend services at the church, and three people have made first-time confessions of faith in Christ in the last two months.
Meanwhile, the church:
- Held one meeting with OTB.
- Conducted four sharing meetings between active church members and the church’s leadership team.
Challenges Encountered
Heavy rain and strong winds hampered progress for two weeks.
Next Steps
Completion of all the basic contruction work:
- Building and plastering the rest of the walls.
- Adding the roof.
Testimony of Impact
The child development center director and pastor of the partner church constantly express their gratitude for your support. “With great admiration and gratitude, we feel blessed that God heard our requests and is fulfilling them through you. We have no way to repay the love that has been shown to us in this work. We know that God is faithful because He produces the best fruits in His churches. We have seen that from your churches, and we pray that it will be the case in ours as well.”
Praises and Prayer Requests
The center director met with the president of the school’s parent group, who expressed their satisfaction with the rapid progress of the work despite the inclement weather. The parents are very happy with the program, because the area has considerable levels of poverty. They believe the whole community will benefit from the added educational resources that will be part of the new center.
Please join us in prayer for our goal of 500 new church members from the surrounding area to receive the Lord.
