Compassion and its church partners are committed to caring for them throughout childhood and adolescence, until they are ready to spread their wings as independent adults.
Likewise, mothers are starting down a road that leads to a better life. Words of Gratitude From a Caregiver
Dear Friends,
May the Lord bless each of you who make this program possible. I am grateful to God for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this beautiful program.
I am married with five children. My husband is an incredible role model to all of my children.
When I first heard about the Survival program, I was very excited. Laura, a Survival Specialist, and the church pastor made an initial home visit, and continued to visit me before I officially registered in the program.
Laura is more than just a staff member to me, she is my friend. She always gives me helpful advice, visits me at home and prays with me. I am thankful to have such a godly example in my life.
I am grateful for all the help I have received from the Survival program, especially when my baby was sick in the hospital. I enjoy learning new things from the various workshops, spending time with other mothers in the program and learning how to stimulate my baby. My son can turn over, sit up and is healthy.
May God continue blessing you and do great things in each of your lives. Thank you for supporting all the families in this program.
Blessings to you,
Maria

Currently, 15 babies and their caregivers participate in this Survival program, and their lives are being transformed by your investment. Pictured below are recent events that took place at Poder de Dios.
Survival Program Spotlight: Delivery Care
The health of mothers and newborns is intricately related. Because of this, Compassion church partners provide prenatal care to give expectant moms and their babies the support they need for a safe and healthy birth. Mothers are able to attend prenatal medical appointments, when in the past they could never have considered such an expense. They also receive transportation to their local health center or hospital so they can keep those appointments.
If their pregnancy has proceeded smoothly, skilled birth attendants guide and support them through the birthing process. Mothers who develop complications are connected to advanced medical care (including surgery, if necessary). After the babies arrive, the program gifts the new moms with baskets full of hygiene supplies and newborn necessities. All of this is possible through your generous giving!
