Greetings, Creekside Christian Church! The team at Iglesia del Nazareno has completed 90% of the construction and only a few finishing tasks remain. Thanks to your generosity, the church’s child development center, La Gloria de Dios, is fully functional and serving 150 children.

Milestones Accomplished and Next Steps
The classrooms, dining room and bathrooms are completed and the church’s child development center is meeting in the new facility. Church staff report that the construction exceeds their original objectives. The auditorium is larger than the initial plan because the church wants to host family activities.
The construction includes:
- One auditorium.
- Two classrooms.
- One dining room.
- One kitchen.
- Two restrooms: each restroom has four toilets, four sinks and two showers.
Next steps include plastering and painting the church, dining room, bathrooms and kitchen.

Challenges and Learning Opportunities
One of the biggest challenges faced by the church was recovering from the effects of the pandemic. Many parents were afraid to send their children to in-person classes due to fear of catching COVID-19 and other seasonal illnesses. It has also been a challenge for the church to raise local resources and recruit volunteers to serve in the kitchen and Compassion center.
The church has been persistent and God is blessing their efforts. Staff report that they have grown in faith as God answers their prayers.
Ministry Progress
Iglesia del Nazareno is reaching 150 children and 200 adults across the province of Santa Elena. Staff from the church and Compassion center are in regular contact with the families of children participating in the Compassion program. The church offers classes for parents.
The church holds multiple evangelistic outreaches and church staff are following up with 81 adults who have made professions of faith. After a child or adult makes a decision to follow Christ, staff follow a discipleship program.
