Agoura Bible Fellowship, we are pleased to bring you an update from Iglesia Bautista Misionera. Prior to the COVID-19 quarantine, 40 adults and 50 children were participating in church activities. The church looks forward to resuming in-person meetings as soon as they are allowed to do so. Thank you for your investment in this new congregation in Bolivia!
Construction Progress
The construction commission and church leaders held two meetings with the architect to study the soil, present the construction model, coordinate the construction schedule and plan the purchase of materials.
Challenges
The church has been unable to purchase the materials needed for construction because the suppliers and factories are closed due to quarantine. In addition, people are only allowed to go out one day a week for a few hours. The church asks for your prayers that the quarantine would be lifted so that they can purchase materials and begin construction.
Next Steps
The building commission will fast and pray asking God to favor the work and guide them throughout the process. The construction team will meet to approve construction plans, carry out soil studies, and purchase construction materials.
Recent Church Activities
During the last two months the church has carried out the following activities:
- Held meetings to pray and fast.
- Hosted activities with children.
- Conducted door-to-door evangelism.
- Hosted an event with children from the mother church and the daughter church so that they get to know each other and become friends.
Prayer Requests
The church wants you to know that they are eternally grateful for your support in allowing them to fulfill the great commission. They ask that you join them in prayer for an end to the COVID-19 pandemic in Bolivia, so that the country can overcome this soon and beneficiaries and their families stay healthy and safe. They are also praying that inflated supply prices will return to normal.
