Thanks to the support of the Acts 29 Network, your church plant in Patos, Paraiba, Brazil, continues to surmount the challenges it has faced. We are glad to present this latest field report from Igreja Batista Independente Betel. Thank you for your prayers and gifts to this area which desperately needs to hear the Good News.
Construction Progress
We are still in the process of building despite the great challenges we have faced. All the walls have been built and prepared to receive cement grout. The primary floor has been placed over the entire construction as well.
Church Activities
Currently, 20 adults and two children attend the church regularly.
The whole church is committed to finish the building and church planting. The pastor has led prayer meetings regularly as well as activity planning for the children of the community.
Challenges Encountered
At this time, the completion of construction is the biggest challenge we have faced. To finish with excellence, we have requested extra time, which was approved by Compassion. We are committed to achieving everything in the best possible way. At the same time that we are building, we have the challenge of continuing to evangelize and disciple our community.
Next Steps
- Finishing the roof
- Completing the grout work throughout the structure
- Placing doors
- Finishing each space in the building
- Installing plumbing and electrical connections
Testimony of Impact
God has always been very generous to us. Church members have been marveled at what God has done in the building and in our church. During the process of carrying out the registration of children and house-to-house visits, it was lovely to see the way each family received the news about the church and child development center. Many of them said this church is a new hope for our community. We have received greater credibility and recognition from the community.
Praises and Prayer Requests
We would just like to thank our brothers and sisters who are helping us in this difficult work. Know that God has done great things and has shown that He is present with us.
As a church, we want to thank the partners who have blessed this work.
We ask for prayer that God may enable the construction of our church to take place in the best possible way. Please pray for God to move the hearts of everyone in our church, enlivening us more and more with love for the people in our community who do not know Christ, that God brings them to gather with us.
