We are pleased to share with you the latest report from the staff of your church plant, Igreja Batista Independente Betel, in Patos, Paraiba, Brazil. Just as the physical foundation takes shape, the church body gains strength with a foundation of prayer and hope in God.
Construction Progress
- The reinforced concrete-slab foundation was framed and poured.
- The columns were filled with concrete.
- The walls will be built soon.
Church Activities
The number of people actively participating in church activities is holding steady at 20 adults and two children.
The pastor, along with the church, is involved in the entire process. Once a week we have a prayer service at the construction site.
Challenges Encountered
One of the great challenges in this period was the acquisition of quality building materials at low prices. Some of the materials were brought from the nearby city.
We also have difficulty finding skilled laborers. But God has given us His grace: We have managed to handle these difficulties and hire good workers.
Next Steps
The columns and walls will be completed soon.
Meanwhile, we are working to acquire electrical and hydraulic infrastructure materials to properly follow the plans for the church.
Testimony of Impact
The members of the church feel that what God has done in the building is awesome. People from the church and the community were deeply affected when they saw the first bricks laid because they could already realize the meaning of this building for the community.
Praises and Prayer Requests
We want, as a church, to reinforce our gratitude to the donors who are helping us in this difficult work. Know that God has done great things and has shown that He is present with us.
Please pray for:
- the construction team
- the administration of resources
- the work being done in the community
